Australia Square is one of Sydney's most recognisable commercial addresses, a Harry Seidler icon that defines the city's relationship with modernist civic architecture. Dexus engaged head contractor Girvan to deliver a full suite of speculative workspace fitouts across 1,032 sqm of the building's tenancy floors, bringing new life to previously vacant suites and repositioning them for the competitive Sydney leasing market.

Cofield was engaged by Girvan to lead the complete project delivery from programme development through to practical completion. The brief was precise: deliver to a premium commercial fitout standard, move fast, and protect the building's character. There was no margin for variation, and no appetite for delay. The client expected and received, the same transparency on every line of cost as they would on a project of ten times the value.
